Following the enlightening discussion, students were given a practical demonstration in IIP’s state-of-the-art darkroom. Mr. Yadav showcased the use of traditional instruments and techniques, including the use of an enlarger and the D-163 processing method. This hands-on experience not only connected students with the foundational practices of black and white photography but also ignited their passion for the craft. Our students left the workshop inspired, with many expressing their intentions to delve deeper into the world of SLR cameras and film photography. Tomorrow’s session promises to further this engagement, focusing on film processing, followed by practical shooting exercises using film cameras.
