“Monsoon Days” - Walking past the street one night.. By IIPian Prashant Prakash @prashant_prakash I saw an old rickshaw puller sleeping on his probably only means of earning vehicle..under a tree...despite the bustling street with vehicles moving..horns blaring...people shouting at one another..he finds himself a situation..or probably adapted himself into one...to take care of himself..A thought which came...why is everyone in a hurry to do everything... Hurry in works..in forming bonds and more sadly...even hurrying in breaking one without a second thought... why cant things be long lasting? An answer i found worth pondering over is to "SLOW DOWN"...!! #slowdown #thinkaboutit #giveitathought #rain #monsoon #monsoondays #beautyofindia #photography #photographers_of_india #photographer #indianpoetry #indianphotography #natureblogger #blogger #patnadiaries #patnalikes #rainyday #scooter #iip #iipians #thephotographyinstitute #indianinstituteofphotography #lifeatiip #schoolofphotography #theworldisyours
Since decades, terrorism has been continuously raising its ugly head at Afghanistan. Devastating the very existence of the country and bringing the people, culture and its economy to its knees. As it got more and more cut off from the world as the times went by, the terrorists even destroyed the rich cultural and archeological landmarks of Gautam Buddha in the Bamyan Valley. This led to massive international protest and the tension in the area grew manifold. At a tumultuous time when the whole of Afghanistan was reeling under the damages done by terrorism, IIP was offered an opportunity to conduct a photography study programme and teach 125+ selected youngsters. More than a study programme, it was seen as an earnest effort to restore progressiveness through art across various terrains of the war ravaged country. IIP’s Photography Studies during SAARC Cultural Festival, Bamyan (Afghanistan) in the year 2015 signified its belief in the power of pictures to bridge distances and bringing ideas closer, together on a unified platform. Although the surrounding tension was intimidating and far from over, IIP’s noble endeavour was wholeheartedly supported and brought alive by the Bamyan Tourism Association (BTA), Aga Khan Foundation and the Directorate of Culture and Tourism of Afghanistan. Mentored by Mr. Harish Jaiswal, this five-day workshop was replete with the works of IIPians and was overwhelmingly attended by over a hundred photography enthusiasts. This first ever photography study programme at Bamyan provided an excellent opportunity for students and added a new dimension in the intention to promote tourism, cultural and educational exchange programmes in the region. #IIP #PhotographyInstitute #IIPFoundation #Throwback #PhotographyStudies #PhotographyLearning #2015 #Photography #Learning #Students #SAARC #Culturalfestival #Afghanistan #Heritage #BeyondBorders #CulturalExchange #AgaKhanFoundation #Camera #Bamyan #BamyanDiaries #BamyanTourismAssociation #saarccountries #TheWorldIsYours #iipians #WorldIsClassroom #international #EducationExchange #DirectorateOfCultureAndTourismOfAfghanistan #photography @ Bamyan
Fashion is known to break conventions. One that treads the unknown path to fame and greatness. It has moulded thinking to combine unusual elements to string together a picture of perfection, with every click. One such example is evident through the lenses of our fellow IIPian Tushar Kumar who brings forth the essence of fashion amidst a wild, rustic terrain. @tusharkumarphotography #IIP #IIPStudent #iipians #iipedu #diploma #uttarakhand #studytour #IndianInstituteOfPhotography #FashionPhotography #PhotographyLearning #Fashion #Model #Stark #Wild #TheWorldIsYours #thephotographyinstitute #schoolofphotography
