Her journey - from New Delhi to New York, and from Harper’s Bazaar to Vogue a came alive in the studio as she shared her insights, techniques, and stories behind the lens. Our students explored the art of fashion photography through her eyes, gaining real-world exposure and learning the power of visual narrative, composition, and colour theory from someone who lives it every day. Cont. 2 📷 Re-Establishment of Analogue Photography at Indian Institute of Photography Noida, India – The Indian Institute of Photography (IIP) is proud to announce the successful re-establishment of its Analogue Photography Learning Program, marking a renewed commitment to preserving the historical and artistic significance of film photography. Today, we celebrated the conclusion of our inaugural session, led by the esteemed Veteran Photographer Jagdish Yadav. During the session, Mr. Yadav enlightened students with a comprehensive overview of the history of photography, tracing its evolution from the earliest days of film to the modern digital era. His expertise provided a unique window into the intricate development of photographic techniques and technologies. Following the enlightening discussion, students were given a practical demonstration in IIP’s state-of-the-art darkroom. Mr. Yadav showcased the use of traditional instruments and techniques, including the use of an enlarger and the D-163 processing method. This hands-on experience not only connected students with the foundational practices of black and white photography but also ignited their passion for the craft. Our students left the workshop inspired, with many expressing their intentions to delve deeper into the world of SLR cameras and film photography. Tomorrow’s session promises to further this engagement, focusing on film processing, followed by practical shooting exercises using film cameras. IIP is dedicated to fostering an educational environment where the rich legacy of film photography is appreciated and advanced.
