ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਏ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਪੰਥ ਕਾ ਘਰ … Nishan Sahib symbolizes the home of Khalsa and at the same time Chardikla for the Sikh Community, the dignity of Nishan Sahib is coming from the sixth Guru of Sikhs, Hargobind Sahib ji and the tenth Guru Gobind Singh ji used to fight with this Nishan Sahib, and even today the Sikh army fights under this Nishan Sahib. Then under the rule of Maharaja singh, large Nishan Sahibs were erected in every gurudwara and their height varies according to region, the Nishan Sahib is usually 80 to 100 feet and their color is orange ‘kesri’ and blue. Cholas (clothes) are changed every day or every week according to the etiquette of Gurudwara Sahib, if a needy person needs something, by seeing this Nishan Sahib that he can fulfill its need.
