We are pleased to welcome Kartikaya Mohan Nagar to the IIP Academy, Noida. Kartikaya joins us as a photography educator and visual practitioner with more than a decade of experience across documentary photography, analogue and film processes, visual storytelling, commercial photography and creative direction. His approach is rooted in craft, observation and the discipline of understanding an image before making it. Formally trained in Creative Photography at the Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication, New Delhi, his practice has remained deeply connected with documentary narratives, analogue photography, darkroom processes and human-centred storytelling. As the founder of Gotama and previously Monksin Happiness LLP, Kartikaya brings extensive professional experience in photography, films, employer and brand storytelling, along with the experience of building and mentoring creative teams. At the Faculty of Fine Arts, we believe students must learn not only how to operate a camera, but how to observe, question, interpret and tell meaningful stories through images. The coming together of practitioners, educators and creative thinkers such as Kartikaya strengthens our larger vision of building an institution where traditional photographic craft meets contemporary visual practice, research and industry exposure. We look forward to his contribution in shaping the next generation of photographers and visual storytellers. Welcome to the Faculty of Fine Arts, Kartikaya Mohan Nagar. #BareillyInternationalUniversity #FacultyOfFineArts #IIPAcademy #IIPFoundation #PhotographyEducation #Photography #VisualArts #DocumentaryPhotography #AnaloguePhotography #VisualStorytelling
1986. By Rajesh Goyal Government College of Arts, Chandigarh Analog Photography Model: Shailja Verma | batchmate This portrait was created during my very first year of college - a moment in time when my journey with art, light, and expression was just beginning. Every frame back then was a discipline in patience, craft, and analog precision, long before the world of digital convenience. Looking back, this work reflects not only my personal beginnings but also the timeless power of photography as an art form - where every shadow, grain, and texture tells a story. At IIP today, we continue nurturing this very spirit, encouraging students to explore their own voice through the lens, just as I began mine decades ago. #analogue #portrait #coa #chandigarh #collegeofart #studioart #lightingideas #portraitphotography #graphite #firstportrait #lightingstudy #photographyeducation #photographyschool #indianinstituteofphotography #iipacademy
What a splendid day at IIP! We are passionately reviving and reestablishing the noble art of analogue photography in India. The experience was both enlightening and deeply gratifying as Sir Jagdish Yadav guided the students through the intricate process of film development. The joy and sense of accomplishment were absolutely unparalleled, dear friends. #AnaloguePhotography #FilmRevival #IIP #PhotographyIndia #VintageArt #FilmDevelopment #AnalogRevival #PhotographyCommunity #JagdishYadav #PhotographyEducation #IndianPhotographers #CreativeLearning #silvergrains #analoguevibes #indianinstituteofphotography #saturday
